What the venue is
The Lost Dice is a board game cafe and bar spread across three floors of a building on King William Street. It has a restaurant, a bar, a retail shop selling games, and function rooms. The collection runs to over 650 board games, which you are free to play.
It is an unusual room to stage a ghost show in, and that is rather the point. The building is old, the light is low, and the venue is said to have a resident ghost of its own. Whether that helps or hinders is a matter of opinion.
Getting there
King William Street is the main north to south street through the Adelaide CBD, and the Adelaide Metro tram runs along it, so the venue is a short walk from most city tram stops. Bus routes through the city centre also run along and across King William Street.
If you are driving, there is metered street parking in the surrounding CBD blocks and several multi-storey car parks within a few minutes' walk. Parking rates and availability change, so check before you leave, particularly on a Thursday evening.
Accessibility
The Lost Dice lists ground floor accessibility and is air conditioned throughout. Because the venue spans three floors and our show room can vary, please contact the venue directly before booking if you have specific access requirements, and let us know as well through the enquiry form so we can make sure everything is arranged.
Companion Card holders attend HAUNTED free.
Eat before the show
The Show & Meal Deal is $74 per person. It includes your ticket to HAUNTED, a choice of burger or pizza, a drink (beer, house wine, or house gin and tonic, or a mocktail), and access to the board game library. If you book it, arrive by 7pm so you have time to eat before the show starts at 8pm.
It is the option most people pick, and for a group it turns an hour-long show into a whole evening.
A note on timing. The show starts at 8pm sharp and runs for about an hour. Latecomers are difficult to seat once the room is dark, so give yourself a little more time than you think you need.
Book your seats
All seats are limited. The spirits prefer an intimate gathering.
